With the limited crew and style, you were able to successfully tackle a queer struggle that I've never seen done before nor ever heard stories about. The soft and innocent style works so perfectly with the tone of these shorts, which really help pop more abstract graphic style which I LOVED!! The music works so perfectly, capturing a perfectly bittersweet tone. All in all, I'm just blown away! *infinite applause*

Thank you so much! A big part of this project was to aim for something authentic. A good chunk is inspired by personal experience, but I’ve also tried to draw a bit from a pair of my collaborators too. It’s been a great experience working with Quarl; She knows how to hit all those emotional notes just right.

Oh my god, I did not expect to like that as much as I did! Usually, I give myself the 3 min rule for animations that are lengthy, but fortunately, I was hooked in and the story got more and more interesting. And I do love the twist because its so wtf and funny! Great job and I wish you luck!

Glad you liked it! I tried to keep the pacing fast so it wouldn't get boring. I too usually do a 3 or 4 minute rule.

The best way I can summarize my thoughts on this that I can see a lot of potential and a story you want to visually convey, that is under what is a bootleg Monty Oum animation. My main issue with this is that it can be very unclear and difficult to comprehend what's visually going on. The main reason for this problem is that it can be too dark. For example, both the main character and the tree monsters tend to blend in with each other and the darkly lit bg. The first half is kinda boring and hard to watch with action cutting in and out which causes issues in its pacing and inconsistency. It really only gets slightly more exciting and consistent in the second half. My other issue is that there isn't enough we know about the character for us to care about her other than she's the main lead. Some of the only good aspects I can praise about it, is it has some creative choreography, unique designs, and an interesting concept. Which brings me to my next point: While this is a sloppy telling of your vision, I do believe you have so much more potential to bring out for this story, and that is why I want you to push 120% into your ideas and vision. Take these criticisms and use them to your advantage so that you can improve your vision. I really can't wait to see your vision fully realized. I will follow you to see how you improve. Good luck and keep pushing ;)!

Thank you so much for your feedback!!! Since this video's completion I've been working on improving the look of the show to be less of a Monty Oum bootleg like you mentioned (this video is quite old I just never made a NewGrounds account until a few days ago).

I absolutely agree with your point about the pacing since it's pretty true, and I'll do my best to improve that for the future! Again, thanks so much for all the feedback!!!
