[JADE: Jade Quaze Character Short]

The best way I can summarize my thoughts on this that I can see a lot of potential and a story you want to visually convey, that is under what is a bootleg Monty Oum animation. My main issue with this is that it can be very unclear and difficult to comprehend what's visually going on. The main reason for this problem is that it can be too dark. For example, both the main character and the tree monsters tend to blend in with each other and the darkly lit bg. The first half is kinda boring and hard to watch with action cutting in and out which causes issues in its pacing and inconsistency. It really only gets slightly more exciting and consistent in the second half. My other issue is that there isn't enough we know about the character for us to care about her other than she's the main lead. Some of the only good aspects I can praise about it, is it has some creative choreography, unique designs, and an interesting concept. Which brings me to my next point: While this is a sloppy telling of your vision, I do believe you have so much more potential to bring out for this story, and that is why I want you to push 120% into your ideas and vision. Take these criticisms and use them to your advantage so that you can improve your vision. I really can't wait to see your vision fully realized. I will follow you to see how you improve. Thank you so much for your feedback!!! Since this video's completion I've been working on improving the look of the show to be less of a Monty Oum bootleg like you mentioned (this video is quite old I just never made a NewGrounds account until a few days ago).

I absolutely agree with your point about the pacing since it's pretty true, and I'll do my best to improve that for the future! Again, thanks so much for all the feedback!!!

This is what I want more out of internet animation; a story-focused animation where it's not slap-sticky, not a parody, not a collab, but a serious one with a lot of heart to it that'll allow us to sink into it. I also love the unique art style, cinematography, and directional choices within the filmmaking of it. Keep up the good work!

The fact that this only has 296 views is a crime! The animation is so fluid, the use of space sells the ominous vibe, and the weird world this is in is so bizarre and I love it! It was so atmospheric and again the ominous vibe slowly begins to creep in on us as the story progresses, and by the end we're wondering "what was that?" And possibly do the objects and settings in this story symbolize something and is this all a metaphor for something? The kind of endings that make people go into discussions about the meaning, I love, and this really sells it! Lovely Job!

I was BLOWN AWAY by this! I was intrigued from the start. Many questions raised through my mind that I am eager to get answers to. The mystery, atmosphere, suspense, emotion, surrealness, and beautiful animation works so well here! It has been a while since I've seen anything this original, and especially on Newgrounds. The fact that this only has 1k views is a god damn crime. I can't wait to see more of your works because you are awesome!
